Meet Our Team
Parenting is our passion! Let us bring our passion and expertise to your parenting.

Maleia Mathis, Ph.D.
Our Founder
Dr. Mathis is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY32395) who has worked for years with children, adolescents, and their parents. She is all about leading with grace -- for yourself, for your kids, and even for those folks giving you unsolicited parenting advice at the grocery store mid-meltdown. She was inspired to launch Whole Parent Therapy because she realized that supporting parents is the most effective way to create real change for the whole family.
Dr. Mathis utilizes evidence-based interventions but also recognizes that there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to our children. She believes that your therapy should fit your specific parenting situation and tailors her interventions accordingly. Before she was a psychologist she earned her Master's degree in Education and taught middle school in Los Angeles. She is passionate about children and families and will talk your ear off about education if given the chance. When she isn’t supporting parents, she loves spending time with her incredible family, eating, and getting out in nature.

Kristen Yule, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Yule is a licensed clinical psychologist in California (PSY33904) who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their parents. She earned her Ph.D. at Marquette University and completed her advanced clinical training at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. She joined Whole Parent Therapy because she firmly believes that one of the best ways to help support children and adolescents is by supporting their parents.
Parenting can be both rewarding and challenging. And unfortunately, kids don't come with a user manual or how-to-guide for every parenting challenge that may arise during childhood and adolescence. Dr. Yule’s goal is to partner with parents and caregivers to help make the journey of parenthood easier and more manageable. She uses a mix of warmth, humor, and genuineness to collaboratively help parents achieve their goals. During her free time, she enjoys walking her dog along the ocean, spending time with her family, watching movies, and cooking.
